THE STALLED ONE-DAY CONFERENCE

For Ministry Leaders Who Thought They'd Be There By Now

A church is only as healthy as its leaders.

Discouragement, comparison, and isolation are their own type of pandemic among pastors. After connecting with hundreds of pastors feeling discouraged in ministry, and a powerful realization from Dale Sellers' years as a small-church pastor, the Stalled message was born.

Available publicly for the first-time ever, join us on October 15, 2020 from 9a-2p ET for an immersive event as we spend less time talking about your church, and more about you. Especially in a year like this, the simple truth is that we can't effectively face the challenges of leadership from an empty soul.

**This event is available in-person at the retreat center (socially-distanced and following local COVID-19 guidelines), and is also available virtually if you don't feel comfortable attending in-person. Just let us know your plans by purchasing the corresponding ticket.**

"Dale encourages pastors to change how we think about ourselves, talk to ourselves, and understand failure and success. Ultimately, pastors are one runner in the race who received a handoff and will eventually hand off to the next runner. This conference helps you work through these steps with thought-provoking questions throughout." - Pastor Ron in Pennsylvania.

"Dale does a great job in sharing many of the things as pastors that we refuse to discuss or are blind spots in our ministries. He has experienced all of them personally." - Pastor Leonard in Virginia

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Below are a few other questions you may be asking. And if there's anything that's not there, just reach out to our team and we'd be happy to help!

How much does the event cost?

This event is $40 (discounted $5 from the typical $45 for every attendee due to a grant provided by the host). With registration, you'll receive:

  • A complementary copy of Stalled: Hope and Help for Pastors Who Thought They'd Be There By Now
  • The official Stalled Conference Handout (with journaling space for "Looking Inward" prompts throughout the event)
  • A free lunch (for in-person attendees only).
What are the COVID-19 guidelines?

If you're attending in-person at the retreat center (which we really do recommend if you're able to!), here's what you can expect:

  • We’ll ask participants to complete a short survey before attending that day (do you have symptoms, have you had contact with anyone with a confirmed case in 14 days, etc.)
  • Day of, we’ll take temperatures on arrival, and ask that people wear masks except when seated.
  • We will also ask that participants maintain a distance of more than 6 feet from anyone else (seating provided will be set-up to accommodate this).
What time is the event?
The event will be from 9a-2p ET. (For those in-person, the grounds will be open after the conference if you're able to stay longer.)

How will this help me?

In many ways, but we'll try to cover a few.

  • Your perspective of your ministry role may shift. In this conference, we'll talk a lot about identity, and get knee-deep in how your ministry position should and shouldn't influence your perspective of who you are.

  • You'll be encouraged and refreshed. Unfortunately, there are many leaders who don't see this as a worthwhile benefit; however, it's true. Not only will this give you a physical break from dealing with ministry-related issues, it will also be a refreshing day of talking straight to your soul as a leader. In the Stalled Conference, we talk way more about you than we talk about your church.

  • You'll have clear next steps. Everyone will have a different takeaway from this conference. Some leaders are more "stalled" than others, and others are facing unique situations. But one thing is for sure: Through the content and the communal discussion, you'll identify unique next steps for your leadership.

  • You'll be reminded that you're not a failure. Whether you lead a church of 30, 300, or 3,000, every leader battles discouragement (Even megachurch pastors feel like they aren't "there" yet). This conference will be a powerful reminder that you and your ministry are not seen as a failure to our God.
Who from my team should attend?

This event is effective for pastors, elders, and key ministry leaders (staff or volunteer). But ultimately, it's up to your discretion. We want you to bring anyone who won't limit you from being honest during the discussion times.

If you can bring a lot of key people from your team, you'll have some great conversations coming out of this event! If you feel like it would be better not to, you will still find a lot of value and clarity moving forward.

Will there be live interaction to answer questions?

Absolutely! All of the event hosts will be active in the chat throughout the conference and in-between each session will be an opportunity for live Q&A about the material in the previous session or about specific applications from the content provided. So come ready to interact!

Where will the event take place?
