Church Renewal (w/ Chris Puhach) – Episode 218

Church Renewal (w/ Chris Puhach) – Episode 218

Church Renewal International was founded in 2012 to share biblical principles and practices essential for renewing a church with other pastors and equipping them for their ministries. Chris joined Church Renewal International as the North American Director several years ago after pastoring a local church for eighteen years. Their mission statement is to see churches renewed and equipped to fulfill Christ’s mission.

Chris shares with Dale on today’s 95Podcast some of the things he’s seeing and hearing from churches around the world. It is pretty sobering to realize that churches and their leaders are all working through many of the same things in the new season of church leadership.

Key Takeaways

1) It’s possible to serve in ministry for a long time and retain that “first love” for Jesus that you began with when you first came to know him.

2) The goal of becoming “independent” as a leader seems to be the focus of many pastors. So often, we gain the incorrect perspective that ministry leadership is to be accomplished alone.

3) We need to look for people from within or outside of our ministry setting that we can be completely honest and vulnerable.

4) Church Renewal International serves approximately 2,500 leaders in 58 countries around the world.
